The Data Deluge

We live in a hurricane of data -- millions of little pieces of knowledge flying at us from everywhere.  In stormy periods, a part of an organization may seize on one thought and before you know it, soundbites become canon.  Worse, different parts of the organization seize on different soundbites.  So the canon becomes contradictory,  the organization freezes, and the customer is more and more confused.    

There are a couple ways out of this dilemma:

Approach One: The individual with the loudest voice, longest tenure, or most status drives the action. 

Issue:  It's literally impossible for any one person to have the entire perfect solution. 

 

Approach Two: Go back to what worked before.

Issue:  Before isn't today.  The market changes all the time.

 

Approach Three:  Engage your team in solving the issue themselves, with my help.  The right action plan already exists inside your team's collective consciousness.  It's a matter of unlocking the answer.  I know how to do that.
